Easter is just around the corner, and whether you’re looking for an all-out day of games for your kids, or just a quiet afternoon in the beautiful mountain temperatures, here in Payson, Arizona, there are a lot of ways to celebrate.

Payson Eggstravaganza

On Saturday, April 20, parents can bring their kids to the softball field at Rumsey Park for a traditional Easter egg hunt, where kids under the age of 12 will have a great time searching for hidden eggs full of candy and prizes. The event is free to the community and runs from 9:30am to 11:00am.

Church Events

Most churches in Payson, Arizona celebrate Easter with food, games, and special events. Calvary Chapel in particular is hosting an Easter event at Rumsey park on Saturday, April 20, between 10am and 2pm. This will include food, games, face painting, horse rides, special music, even a bounce house and a ventriloquist. The event is entirely free, and is open to the community, whether you’re a regular attendee of Calvary Chapel or not.

Family Hangout

If you’re looking for something a bit quieter for your Easter weekend, there are plenty of places to spend the holiday with your family. Green Valley Park is a favorite location for the community, where you can barbecue and play outdoor games or relax near the lake. You can also take a leisurely drive along Highway 87, north of Payson, to enjoy the beautiful scenery and maybe stop for some great food at one of the restaurants in Pine or Flagstaff.
