Flip a Coin Day!

June 1 Flip a Coin Day is day when making decisions is as easy as flipping a coin. This tradition dates back to Julius Caesar. Caesar would take a coin and flip it to make decisions where the right choice was unclear. The correct answer was “heads”, which of course carried his image on the coin. 

To celebrate this day…Flip a coin.  Use this method of decision making for all decisions, and for everything you do today.

Legend has it that the creator of this day flipped a coin to determine whether he (or she) was going to document this holiday. The coin came up “tails”.

Recipe to Try

Avocado Strawberry Mango Salsa

  

Ingredients

  • 1 cup diced strawberries (a little more than a half pound of strawberries)

  • 1 cup diced ripe mango (from 2 large mangoes)

  • 1 avocado, diced

  • 1 jalapeno, seeded and diced

  • 2 tablespoons finely diced red onion

  • 2-3 tablespoons diced cilantro

  • 1 small lime, juiced

  • 1/4 teaspoon salt, plus more to taste

  • Multigrain pita chips, for serving/dipping

Instructions

Place all ingredients in a medium bowl and mix to combine. Garnish with extra cilantro. Serve with pita chips for dipping. Also great served on salmon, fish tacos or shrimp. Serves 4-6.

New Gym Floor!

Keith Family Flooring really made something cool happen in our community this month! They created a goal to raise over $20,000 to replace the old gym floor at Payson High School… AND THEY DID IT! I was so blessed to come alongside of them, RVN3 Foundation, Backwoods Bar & Grill, and Payson Golf Club with a donation check to help the cause! When our community comes together to do something bigger than all of us, awesome things happen every time! Great work, everyone!
